Do you have the money and the demat account?

With stronger numbers at the Centre being in command, sans the periodic threats of withdrawal from leftists, the Government has come out with the long awaited IPOs and FPOs. Coal India, a recent IPO gave a return of 30000%. Unbelievable? Simple calculations will show you that if you applied for the highest number of shares as an individual (which was 400), you could have got 199 shares. If you had sold all of them on the listing day at the highest price, your returns work out to over thity thousand percent per annum. Powergrid returns were good, not as good.

Another chance has come. MOIL issue has opened today. The maximum amount as an individual which you can apply is now Rupees two lacs. The Grey market premiums are in the vicinity of Rupees 200. (Check http://www.chittorgarh.com/ for IPO news, grey market premiums etc).

So what are you waiting for? If you have the dough and a demat account, set aside ONLY Rupees two lacs, apply for maximum amount and if the premium rates are achieved, get a return of more that of Coal India. But you have no time to think. Issue closes on 1st December 2010. Happy investing!!

My usual disclaimer: I am not an expert on share markets. Do consult your advisor before investing! If your return is less than 30000 %, I am not responsible!
